Shower Head

There are two types of shower heads.  These are single function and multifunction.  Single function has a consistent spray pattern that cannot be changed.  A multifunction or dual function allows the user to change the spray pattern, intensity, and the amount of water.

What Is the Difference Between a Single Function and Multi-Function Shower Head?

A single function shower head offers style and economy.  These are ideal when an economic, practical, simple showering solution is desired.

A multi-function head provides a spa-like experience with different spray modes such as rain, mist, and massage. They usually provide a good amount of water force.  Multi-function fixtures are considered the best for washing your hair.

Does a Shower Head Come in Different Styles?

Shower heads are available as fixed, handheld, rainfall, and combination.  If you enjoy a truly spa like experience, combining fixtures creates a very pleasent showering environment.

Fixed Shower Head

A fixed shower head is ideal for its economy and simplicity.  These can be single of multifunction.  These fixtures are simple, durable, and require little maintenance.

Handheld Shower

Handheld shower heads represent the ultimate in convenience.  They are perfect for shaving legs and for those with mobility concerns.  Most include the multifunction feature.  They can be detached from their mount, allowing you to direct water flow precisely where you need it.  Handhelds are available with a 60 or 72-inch hose.  These shower heads cater to everyone.  Whether you’re tall, short, or somewhere in between, you can adjust them to your preferred height.  Standing or sitting, a handheld shower offers lots of flexibility for your showering experience.  This handheld feature is especially handy in smaller bathrooms where space is at a premium.

Rainfall Shower Head

Rainfall shower heads offer the gentle, soothing sensation of raindrops falling on your skin.  It’s almost like you are bathing in a rain shower.  Unlike traditional shower heads that shoot water at an angle, rain heads are typically mounted overhead, allowing water to fall straight down.  A rain shower head is perfect for those who prefer a softer, more natural water flow.  Many find that rainfall shower heads have a very calming effect.

Combination Shower

A combination multifunction showering system offers a truly spa-like experience.  Combining a combination system with a rainfall shower head is the ultimate in comfort, convenience, and flexibility.  With a combination shower system, you enjoy the best of all the different showering styles.  When two or more people share the same shower, a combination shower system allows everyone to tailor their shower to their specific needs and comfort.
